The Scottish Orthopaedic Research Trust into Trauma was established in 1993 to promote research into orthopaedic trauma. (SORT-IT) is a Limited Company (SC142054). It is also registered with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR SC050553).  The Trust has promoted research into different aspects of fracture management, fracture epidemiology and the evaluation of soft tissue injury in trauma.

The “Edinburgh Trauma” website, Trauma Symposium, FRCS Course, Arthroplasty Day and Elbow Day are organised by SORT-IT.  All proceeds from these events will go to further the work of SORT-IT.
