International Trauma Symposium

13 to 15 August 2008

The Edinburgh International Trauma Symposium was established in 1987 with the aim of disseminating and discussing current philosophies of orthopaedic trauma management.

This well-established annual meeting updates senior orthopaedic surgeons in new trauma philosophies and techniques. xrayThis year we have restructured the format to increase the number of small group discussions on topics of current interest.  We will discuss the multiply-injured patient, whiplash injuries, femoral fractures, orthobiologics, nerve injuries and controversies in upper limb fractures and dislocations. Delegates are encouraged to discuss their own cases, and there will be “hands-on”  labs where techniques will be demonstrated.

All delegates will receive a book from the Orthopaedic Surgery Essentials series. Attendance counts for 18 hours CPD.
